MEETING MAYNARD My sister and I were intent on finding the "Hidden Mickey" in the Haunted Mansion. On our first visit to the Mansion, we questioned the cast member letting people into the foyer. We had no idea at that time who Maynard even was! He gave us a cryptic response and we vowed we'd find it on the next go-round. On our next turn in the Mansion we found another cast member who told us where to look. Upon entering our Doom Buggy we saw the first cast member (Maynard) and told him we knew where to look now. He said "Your secret is safe with me" (?) and went to help others board. Unbeknownst to us, he had skipped over the conveyor belt, poked his head around to my sister's side of the buggy and yelled the most SINISTER boo-sounds we had ever heard! We both nearly jumped out of the buggy in fright! It was not until we got home and started reading about Maynard on the internet that we realized who we had come up against! What a great guy! He makes your Disney experience even more special! Can't wait to go back this year and see where he is!
