MEETING MAYNARD The first time I encountered Maynard was on The Haunted Mansion. I was with my friends and he popped out from the corner (right after you enter the Doom Buggy). He showed his flashlight on his closed hand and opened it revealing a plastic frog as he said "Look a frog!!!". At the time I had no idea who he was, just a wierd Cast Member...nothing more. Then I found a web site that was about Maynard, a Cast Member at Disneyland. So I read about him... Now, I work at Disneyland and I see him every once in a while. He is the same back stage as he is on! He always says hi to me, like he knows me! Anyway, the other day, I was waiting for my friends outside Honey I Shrunk the Audience and he was there. Maynard was doing "Glasses Duty" and he was wearing that lab coat, it suits him. He came over and started talking to me about "his apartment" the trash can. It was a total crack up. He said it was cramped in there but he can manage to watch TV. He doesn't like it when people throw their drinks in there because he gets sticky, but hey it has a door and windows too!! Then he told me how the all Cast Members get in the Moonliner after closing and go back to their planet.
