MEETING MAYNARD
We had a great time in Disneyland and it was wonderful meeting the Great Maynard, and experiencing his zany sense of humour. I would like to see him get a break on TV and maybe even present a Disney show. He certainly has the talent for it. We met Maynard at the Astro ride in Futureworld, He was describing the flight that the astroriders would be taking and that we might be visiting the great Monkey Planet where banana's were currency and the king of the monkey's would be talking with great gesture's and much whooping "Ooh oh Ooh oh Ooh oh , Aah aah aah eeya! eeya!" Of course not having our universla translators handy we were bemused by the converstaion however Maynard certainly seemed to be understanding what he was saying. When we first boarded our ship to the stars Maynard chose my eldest daughter to be the captain of the journey, little did he know she was wreckless always looking to the stars never her mind on where she was what she was doing. By the centre did we fly fast and to the top imeddiatley Maynard became a speck in our rearview mirrors. All we could hear was "Be sure to mention my name...". When we arrived at the great Monkey planet we were taken to the Monkey king. I say monkey but he was a great Silverbacked Gorilla and he had an Orang Utan as a sidekick, who kept singing a familiar tune it went something like this "I wanna be like you ooh ooh." I was sure I ad heard this song before and the crown of banana skins on the big Gorilla would have been more apt on the Orang Utan, we later found out his name as Louie. Anyway we were presented to the great Gorilla, and as he stood there over eight feet tall six feet between the eyes he spoke, after four massive thumps on his chest. "Ouch" He started to rub his sore chest. "Every time I do that it hurts." "Well don't do it" we said. "Oh very well." said he. He spoke with an Oxford or Cambridge accent. After much talking and conversation and mentioning Maynards name. The King kept ignoring this, we got the impression that he was not happy with Maynard. Eventually we taxed him on his feelings about Maynard. The Monkey king spoke in a grave voice. Maynard had come to the monkey planet a long time ago and had offered work to the monkey's of the planet, they came to earth to work, but were annoyed with the low income for aliens on this planet. So the monkey's returned. The moral of the story it turned out was If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. A further note, Maynards evil twin has been found to calling all sorts of people on the telephone and asking for Mr. Walls, upon the reply there is no Mr. Walls here he would have to ask is Mrs.Walls there, only to have the reply in the negative. He would then ask "Do you have any walls ther at all?" "No" the other party would say. "Then how do you keep your roof up!" he would shout followed by maniacl lunatical laughter. Regards, The Cowdry Family. |
